Our tongue plays a critical role in stabilizing our jaw and facial muscles. When our tongue is not functioning properly, the muscles of our neck and face overcompensate. This leads to pain around our eyes, headaches, tension in our neck, and pain around our ears and cheeks.

I recognize that the TMJ is a complicated and multifaceted, and Myofunctional therapy can significantly reduce our pain when the root cause is tongue posture related.
